2010 BRI: Walk to Unlock the Immune System!

Event: With more than 80 autoimmune diseases, affecting one in 20 Americans, the Benaroya Research Institute needs your help to fight these devastating diseases. The Walk to Unlock the Immune System is a 5K walk held in conjunction with the 2010 Boeing Classic golf tournament. It is a way to see the spectacular surroundings of Snoqualmie Ridge, while playing a part in finding a cure for autoimmune diseases like diabetes, multiple sclerosis, arthritis and many more.

When: 9:00 a.m. start

Cost: $25 per walker; youth walkers (15 and under) are free

Beneficiary: Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason (BRI), located in Seattle, Washington, is a worldwide leader in autoimmune disease research. BRI is one of the few research institutes in the world dedicated to finding the causes and cures of autoimmune diseases.

Format: All walkers will check in at the golf course prior to the walk. The walk will start at the 10th tee box, ending on the 18th hole. Specific autoimmune diseases will be highlighted along the walk.

Please Note: Food will be provided at the walk, along with a FREE pass to watch the 2010 Boeing Classic on Saturday, August 28.
