The Korean Air Pro-Am provides a unique opportunity for corporate partners to enjoy spending a day on the course with some of the biggest names in golf and greatly contributes to the charitable proceeds raised for the Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason. On August 24th and 25th, 56 foursomes played in the two-day event, with every amateur team paired with a Champions Tour player taking part in the weekend competition. The pros and their caddies are true ambassadors of the game and engaged with their groups for a dynamic and one-of-a-kind experience.

For two participants at the 2011 Korean Air Pro-Am, the event provided a truly memorable moment and a remarkable encounter.

Amateur Mark Jorgensen, participating in a foursome sponsored by media partner ROOT SPORTS, made a shot he'll never forget when he hit a hole-in-one on the Par-3 6th hole. A long-time golfer, the Ace was the first-ever for Jorgensen, who must have passed along some of his luck to his Pro playing partner that day - 2011 Boeing Classic Champion Mark Calcavecchia.

During the second day of the event, a 9-year-old fan patiently waited for World Golf Hall of Famer Nick Price to arrive on the 13th hole. With a pen at the ready and golf bag in tow, the local boy politely asked the South African native to autograph his bag. Much to the boy's surprise, Price asked him to play the hole with him. The boy took advantage of the opportunity, hitting his tee shot to within three feet of the hole, then showcasing nerves of steel to sink the birdie putt. The boy came to the course as a fan of the great in the game, but ended the day with high profile fans of his own.
